TrafficManager™(LTM)configurationonBIG-IP®devices.ADChelpstheuser:
• CreateefficientworkflowstoviewtheLTM®configurationsinarelationalanddynamicuserinterface.
• Controlaccesstoconfigurationobjectsusingfine-grained,role-basedaccesscontrol(RBAC).This
allowsadministratorstodelegatefrequentlyperformedoperations(forexample,enablingordisabling
poolmembers)tothecorrectteammember.
• MaintainultimatecontroloftheLTMconfigurationbyprovidingastagingoption.Delegatedteam
membersmakeallrelevantchanges,thentheadministratorcanapplythemafteraquickreview.

TheBIG-IQ®systeminterfaceiscomposedofpanels.Eachpanelcontainsobjectsthatcorrespondtoa
BIG-IQfeature.Dependingonthenumberofpanelsandtheresolutionofyourscreen,somepanelsmay
becollapsedandshowascoloredbarsoneithersideofthescreen.Youcancursoroverthecollapsedpanels
tolocatetheoneyouwant,andclickthepaneltoopen.Toassociateitemsfromdifferentpanels,clickan
object,anddraganddropitontotheobjectwithwhichyouwanttoassociateit.
Filtering for associated objects
TheBIG-IQ®systemhelpsyoueasilyseeanobject'srelationshiptoanotherobject,eveniftheobjectsare
indifferentpanels.
1. Todisplayonlyitemsassociatedwithaspecificobject,hoverovertheobject,clickthegearicon,and
thenselectShowOnlyRelatedItems.
Thescreenrefreshestodisplayonlyassociatedobjectsineachpanel.

2. Repeatstep1untilyouaresatisfiedwiththeorderofthepanels.
Searching for specific objects
TheBIG-IQ®systeminterfacemakesiteasytosearchforaspecificobject.Thiscanbeespeciallyhelpful
asthenumberofobjectsincreasewhenyouaddmoreusers,applications,servers,andsoforth.
1. Tosearchforaspecificobject,intheFilterfieldatthetopofthescreen,typeallorpartofanobject's
name.
2. ClicktheApplybutton.
ThescreenrefreshestodisplayonlytheobjectsassociatedwiththetermyoutypedintheFilterfield.
3. Tofurtherrefinethefilter,typeanothertermintotheFilterfield,andclicktheApplybuttonagain.
4. Toremoveafilterterm,clicktheXiconnexttoit.
