Something may happen, something may not. *Let's pretend that the leaf village is very close to being restored. 1. Chapter 1 Chapter 1 "The sky sure is pretty today." Naruto mumbled to himself on the roof of the Hokage's building. The blonde lifted his right arm towards the sky and grasped the air with a slow motion. "If only I could fly. I could have a better view of Konoha." Naruto sat up, a tiny prick in his back told him his little nap on the stone roof wasn't going to have good effects on his body. The teen got on his feet to stretch out his back and really notice the view he has seen one thousand times. "No matter how many times I see Konoha from this view, it still looks just as beautiful!" Naruto heard a door open from behind him, looking back he saw a pink-haired girl at the exit. "What brings you here Naruto?" Sakura said grabbing some scrolls out of her bag, while walking towards him. Crossing his arms, "Taking in the view for the millionth time! It's still great!" he said. "The view is great up here..I could sit here and stare out there for hours." With a mild glance at the Sakura, he watched as she took out multiple scrolls and sat on the ground, crossing her legs. One by one, she laid the scrolls down on the roof and studied them. "Looking to learn some new ninjutsu?" Naruto asked, sitting down with the female ninja. "Yeah, I'm planning on learning some mid to close range jutsu, expand my arsenal and all. Sakura explained. Naruto smiled, wanting to take credit for inspiring his comrade to work at her craft. He noticed they sat very close to each other, knees touching. He scooted away a bit. "What's up?" Naruto chuckled. "Just didn't want to be too close you know, don't wanna weird you out." Sakura just nodded and returned to her studies. **Hours Later ** The sun looked as if it were cut in half by its dropping over the horizon. The two teens sat on top of the railing of the roof to watch the sun say its goodbyes for the day. "That's when Granny Tsunade threw me and Shikamaru out of the office! It was hilarious, the look on her face!" Naruto joked. Sakura smiled, it had been a very long time since the two had really hung out like this. She looked down to the ground below, watching the parents calling their kids back inside for the night. It was getting late after all. Sakura looked up at Naruto during their peaceful silence, only to see him shed a tear. "What's wrong Naruto?" Sakura stood on the railing. Naruto wiped his eye. "I just.. feel lonely sometimes you know? Being the village hero, I feel like the only people who don't think of me too differently is you and Kakashi. I'm happy that I'm respected and all but I'm waiting for the day that everyone ridicules me again." He slumped over with his hands on his knees. Sakura put her arm around him. _"She's warm." _Naruto thought. "I'm still your friend. I have your back. And don't worry! The village has respected you since the day you got back, nobody is going to betray you again." Sakura consulted. "Again huh?" Naruto mumbled. Sakura spun around and landed on her feet. She tugged on Naruto's arm and signaled for him to follow. They walked out of the building side by side. "Where are we going?" Naruto asked. "You're place." Sakura responded. Naruto giggled. "What's so funny?" Sakura asked looking at him with a confused face. "Just that, you're a girl and you're coming to my place." "Naruto, we're just hanging out is all. Don't be so pervy for once, even though you are lucky to have me over at your place of all people!" Sakura said. Naruto nodded his head but Sakura knew that his dirty mind was running about. ... Naruto and Sakura walked into his apartment, Naruto closed the door behind them. Immediately, Sakura jumped on his couch and took a deep breath and exhaled. The walk from the Hokage building to Naruto's apartment made her feel a little winded, for a ninja. "It's not that long of a walk you know..It's not even a mile, not even close." Naruto claimed, hanging up his black and orange jumpsuit jacket. "Look if you want, I'm gonna take off my pants in here." "Why don't you just do that in the other room?!" She said covering her eyes. By the time she reacted, he already had his pants off and flung them inside of his bedroom, which the door was open. Sakura slowly guided her hands down from her face and sat up, without looking at the other blonde teenager who was putting on his sweatpants in the corner of her eye. Naruto sat down close to Sakura on the couch as she reached for the remote. "You know, you can get comfortable here, it's not like I'm wanting you to leave anytime soon." Naruto proposed. Sakura hesitated, but eventually took off her boots and also her skirt, exposing her long legs with only polyester shorts. Her vest came off as well. She crossed her legs and grabbed the remote again to continue looking for something to watch. Naruto sat inches away from the pink-haired girl and couldn't stop staring at the her legs. They were long, shapely and looked very smooth. His eyes started to scout out Sakura's full figure, each little detail making Naruto feel little warm shivers around his body. Feeling a little flirty, he decided to say something without sounding too creepy. "Without that netting, I can see you have nice legs Sakura." Sakura caught off guard by his sudden speaking, blushed and said nothing. _**"Okay Naruto, that was a little weird."**_Kuruma told the boy. _"Yeah it was. Stop talking to me though, it startles me to just hear your voice talk out of nowhere." _Naruto replied. _**"Before I go, let me tell you something. If you're gonna actually try and pursue something with her, make sure to apologize for what you just said. That was cringy to watch from inside here." **_Kuruma chuckled. Naruto gave a mental nod to Kuruma to return to the real world. He looked over at Sakura who was still blushing and searching for a show or movie. Maybe he should apologize now before waiting any longer. "Hey Sakura?" "Yes?" "Sorry about what I said just now, I just wanted to compliment you is all." Naruto looked down at his floor and pondered waiting for her reaction. Sakura looked at him slowly, and sighed. "I'll be nice for once, wanna feel them?" Sakura asked with a giggle. She guided his hand onto her knee slowly and leaned back with the remote. Naruto has his hand on his best "girl" friend's leg. He started to rub it back and forth, feeling it's smooth texture. "They're so smooth Sakura, they feel awesome!" Naruto said, relaxing his tense muscles. Sakura didn't really mind making her friend more comfortable this way, she didn't know that his mental state was betraying him like that. _(Naruto wiped his eye. "I just.. feel lonely sometimes you know? Being the village hero, I feel like the only people who don't think of me too differently is you and Kakashi. I'm happy that I'm respected and all but I'm waiting for the day that everyone ridicules me again.")_ Naruto got more daring and ran down her inner thigh and gripped it. This startled Sakura who was about to tell him to stop, but didn't because of the sensation she got. Naruto guided his hand back on top of her thigh and massaged it. Sakura, finally snapping from her rather spicy moment, found a nice anime on TV. It involved musicians falling in love with the music being their common interest. The opening could be described as beautiful and full of life. And just like that, Naruto was hooked on the show and put his arm around Sakura, laying his arm on the couch. Naruto noticed it was a new episode and got rather excited, drawing his attention to something else besides Sakura's body for the time being. Nothing else happened that night, Sakura slept in Naruto's bed as she was too lazy to go back home while Naruto slept on the couch. It was going to be a long night for both of them. 2. Chapter 2 - Morning Chapter 2 Naruto was awoken by a loud bump coming from the other side of the wall. He sprung out off his couch and cautiously knocked on his bedroom door. "Hey Sakura you alright? Did you fall?" He asked, yelling from the other side. "Sure, I just fell. You can come in.." Sakura yelled back. Naruto turned the door knob and slowly entered the room. On the floor next to his bed was his good friend who was rubbing her left elbow. Sakura was in the same clothes as last night, but her shorts were on his bed, revealing her black panties. Sakura looked up at the boy and noticed his tomato-like face. She then fully awoke and realized that she didn't have pants on. Blood rushed to her head. "GET OUT!" Sakura shouted. Naruto ran out of the room, shutting the door behind him in hopes she wouldn't follow. Naruto watched the door from inside his kitchen, afraid at any moment it would swing open to reveal the monster that was Sakura. A hot one, but a mad one. _"I think if I make breakfast for us two, she won't be as mad." _Naruto thought to himself. Slowly, just in case Sakura sneaks up behind him, he opened his fridge. He pulled out a carton of eggs and some bacon from the freezer above. Naruto retrieved the essentials for their breakfast one by one until they all sat on his kitchen counter. Sakura hadn't made a single noise since that embarrassing moment between them a few minutes ago. Though it wasn't that embarrasing, Naruto didn't get why Sakura let him massage her like that last night but couldn't allow him to see her half-dressed. The former was worse. Naruto shrugged his thoughts off and began to cook. Naruto loved the essence of the meal he had just made, the aroma overtook his other four senses. As simple as the meal was, he couldn't help but feel proud. He set Sakura and his plate down on the coffee table in the living room. Still no sounds coming from his bedroom, the boy grew worried. Alas, he forced himself to knock on the door. "Sakura?" "I smell the food Naruto, I'll be out in a sec." She sounded calmer. Naruto grinned and sat down to enjoy his meal. A few moments after sitting down, the kunoichi appeared outside of his bedroom and yawned while walking towards Naruto. She sat down and picked up her fork to dig into her meal. "This is great Naruto!" She said with a smile. "T-thanks." Naruto sweat a little bit, expecting a slap to come from nowhere. Halfway into their meal, the two hadn't said anything, they just watched TV as they ate. "Hey..um.. Naruto?" Sakura put down her fork and looked at the blonde ninja. "I'm sorry about my outburst, I wasn't fully awake and I was a little embarrassed. Just, make sure that I'm fully clothed next time okay?" Naruto squinted at her. "But if I can't see you, how will I know if you're fully clothed?" Naruto giggled. Sakura slapped him in the arm. "Don't correct me!" Sakura commanded. With his palms pointed towards her, he closed his eyes and prepared to defend himself from the assault and chuckled. But Sakura didn't continue, she just went back to her meal. Naruto did the same after noticing. The two finished their breakfast and brought their dishes to the kitchen. Sakura volunteered to wash and put them away, as a gift to say sorry. Naruto examined her behind as she washed the dishes vigorously to get it over with. She didn't know that her friend was examining her "goods". Slowly, Naruto walked directly behind her and was merely centimeters apart from his friend. He felt his rod starting to lengthen in his sweatpants. He shuffled forward to give Sakura a swift hug which took her by surprise. He wrapped his arms around her and rubbed her arm. Sakura has a very intense blush. "Thank you, for listening to me last night. I'm so happy that I have you as a friend Sakura. You mean so much to me." Naruto softly said. And he meant what he said, she had seemed stressed by the work it took to restore the leaf village which wasn't done still, she probably needed this. Sakura touched his hand and nodded. "You're welcome." "Want me to stop?" Naruto asked. Sakura shook her head, seeming to be comforted by this touching moment. Naruto nudged the lower part of her body into her back. The two were stuck like glue. He pressed his erection up against her, causing her to squirm a bit. He felt his rod being tucked inside of her, even though the move was much, he can try and pass it off as an accident. Sakura slowly guided her ass up and down his pants unknowingly, leaving Naruto in a daze. Sakura then moved forward, stopping their little moment. She looked back and smiled as Naruto just grinned and went back to the living room. He could feel a little bit of wetness at the front of his underpants. "Catch you later Naruto! I'll come by again soon." Sakura said running down the street, finally fully clothed. Naruto waved goodbye as he watched the girl run down the street. He smiled and walked to Ichirakus. 3. Chapter 3 - New Tears Chapter 3 Naruto, Kiba and Shikamaru sat inside of Ichiraku's to enjoy a tasty lunch together. Naruto was already done with his ramen before the other two, but continued to chat. "I saw you and Sakura go up to your apartment yesterday Naruto..Anything happen?" Kiba asked, elbowing the teen. "It was..eventful.." Naruto nervously said. Kiba caught by surprise by his friend's response, put down his utensils. "Like in a painful way or.." "Painful." Naruto nodded, avoiding the subject for now. "Gotcha." Kiba returned to his meal thus ending the topic at hand. Shikamaru shrugged and put his down on the counter. "You know..we're eating out Shikamaru. Have some respect." Kiba exclaimed. He scoffed and turned back to Naruto. "He's just busy with everything, Tsunade has been putting a lot of work on his shoulders I hear, leave him be." Naruto explained. Shikamaru gave a thumbs up with his right arm before setting it back down slowly. "It's been a long few weeks. Construction is almost done and I'm hyped to finally relax! We should get everyone together and go camping or somethin'!" Kiba stood up and started pumping his fists in the air. "It could be so much fun!" Naruto smiled at his friend's hyper behavior. He's like to join in but after eating those noodles and seeing Shikamaru fall asleep, he started to feel tired as well. "That sounds like a great idea Kiba, let's go gather around everyone by tonight and we can head out." Shikamaru, like a snail, rose from his arms and stretched. "I'll go tell Tsunade, let's promise that the Leaf Village will always be in sight from our spot alright?" Kiba nodded and Naruto gave a his sleepy comrade a raise of the eyebrow. The three friends walked in separate directions and waved at Ichiraku who was smiling at the three kids he's served for all these years. Naruto headed over to Sakura's place to invite her to the campout Kiba had planned. Kiba agreed to get Ino, Shino, Hinata, Neji and TenTen while Shikamaru gave Tsunade a heads up. He would probably get Choji to come along as well. Naruto finally arrived at Sakura's place and knocked on her door. "Coming!" He heard from the other side of the door. When the door opened, Naruto saw Sakura in a cute black tank top and a pair of red shorts. "There are those legs again." Naruto said, not afraid to look below her waist. Sakura dragged Naruto inside of her home and shut the door. "Hello to you too Naruto.." Sakura had a slight tone of disappointment in her voice but had a grin on her face. Naruto raised his fist towards her lazily awaiting a fist bump that he never got usually but Sakura returned the favor and giggled. "What's up? What brought you here?" Sakura asked. "Me and Kiba are getting everyone together to go camping out in the woods tonight. Wanna come?" "Sure! That sounds like a lot of fun! When are we going?" "We'll get to the gate at about nine I think. It's only four now.." Naruto looked up at the ceiling with his hands in his pockets, wondering what to do now. "Guess we'll just hang out here until then. Wanna go to my room?" Sakura asked. "You're so forward Sakura I had no idea." Naruto teased. Sakura grabbed his hand and walked with him to her bedroom and just shook her head. Naruto and Sakura sat on her bed talking for a few hours about the old days of Team 7. "Sasuke was so determined back then, just out for vengeance the entire time." Naruto said. "I really hope that we can see him again, as a Leaf Ninja and just.. happy." Sakura stayed silent. "I'll get more powerful and I'll keep my promise to you. That's another promise." Naruto chuckled. He was caught by surprise when he saw Sakura's arm cover his belly. She was hugging him. She nestled her face into his neck (which tickled him immensely). She tucked her arm under his back to wrap herself around her best friend. Sakura looked up at Naruto who was relaxed and calm by her sudden movements. "I would never have embraced you like this a few years ago. You know that right?" Naruto nodded. Sakura had a tear come down her face. He guided her face to lay on his chest as he wrapped his arm around her. They both stared ahead at the wall across the room. _"She's so warm." _Sakura was starting to stream immense tears across Naruto's chest, she sniffled and sniffled. She broke. "WHY DID HE HAVE TO LEAVE NARUTO!" She shouted. "All I have is you Naruto! I love my friends but you're not just a friend to me. You're the only thing I have that motivates me and keeps me fighting! Sasuke, was my first love. But I'm just tired of crying over him!" Naruto guided her onto her knees and hugged her full force. A tears zooming down his left eye. "Don't cry over him then Sakura. I'll always be here." Naruto felt terrible about what he was witnessing. Even after all these years, the Uchiha still had this effect on them. It probably would never end either. Sakura let go of Naruto after a few more minutes of just tears and yelling into his chest. "I'm not crying over him Naruto. I'm crying because of how I treated you all this time! You were always there. Always...while he just..left. I'm so sorry Naruto!" Naruto grabbed her in another hug and it was tighter than the last. "Promise me to stay here with me. Sasuke can go to hell!" Naruto surprised by her words backed up and held her shoulder while looking at her in the eye. "You don't mean..that Sakura. You love him." Sakura just shook her head and touched his face with her palm. "I don't Naruto. I can't anymore. I haven't in a long time. All of these tears aren't shedding for him tonight. All I know now is that you're a guy who loves me dearly, and I think it's time I love you back." Sakura smiled and wiped her eyes. Naruto was frozen like a statue. "Like a kid brother..right?" Naruto asked. Sakura shook her head. "I love you Naruto. I've felt it since being away from you for so long. I knew it right when I saw you on the Hokage's building. Don't think you're some stupid replacement." Naruto and Sakura stared into each others eyes. Leaning in towards each other, Naruto and Sakura froze when they heard a tinker on the window and saw everyone watching them from outside. "Really guys?" Kiba smiled. A very large smile. 4. Chapter 4 - Silent Tears Chapter 4 The group had been walking for only a few minutes down the main road from the Leaf Village. Naruto with his hands behind his head, looked back at the village, which from his view consisted of a few dim lights between two large walls. Sakura walked beside her friend closely, Hinata was on Naruto's right side. Tenten moaned at the front. "This gear is so heavy..where are we even going Kiba?" Kiba sighed. "Hey Naruto, remember that tree that we would race to back when we were kids? The one that we marked with our best times?" "Sure, I beat your record!" Naruto shouted from the back. "What?! Whatever." Kiba turned to Tenten. "We're going to the open field that we all used to start at." Tenten nodded in approval. It didn't answer her question of how far it was but she was guessing that it wasn't super close. Naruto looked at Hinata who had been awfully quiet, even for her. Naruto put his arm around her which made her blush. Sakura glanced over but remembered the Hyuga's feelings towards her teammate. "What's wrong Hinata?" "N-Nothing." The obvious lie annoyed Naruto, as he didn't want to see her friend uncomfortable. He thought back on her actions during the fight with Pain. He hadn't addressed his confession to him and maybe he would during this camp out. Certainly they could find a time and place for some one-on-one time. Sakura wasn't feeling that great about almost kissing Naruto back in her room, with all of their friends watching she hoped that it wouldn't be too awkward tonight, especially with Hinata. After a few minutes of walking, the group eventually made it to their camp spot. The open field was spacious and gave the group an astonishing view of Konoha. Shikamaru, Ino, Choji, Lee, Tenten, Neji, Sakura, Hinata, Naruto, and Kiba formed a circle. "I'm so excited! I wish Akamaru would have come.. Anyway, we have five tents. Everybody should pick a person to bunk with." Tenten and Lee high fived each other with beaming faces. Everyone didn't have to decipher that gesture. Ino and Shikamaru nodded to each other. Choji walked over to Neji, causing him to sigh. Neji looked towards Hinata who was blushing furiously, her eyes focused on the blonde next to her.
