mmi 1997 Epilogue *7uto- S<wtet6uty Ttew- 1997 was a big year for a change at BHS. We acquired a new Superintendent of Schools, a group of new teachers, and even got new lights for the football field that en¬ abled us to host the first night games in field hockey, soccer, and football. However, the biggest difference was our new principal. Mr. Anthony Polito, formerly of Catholic Me¬ morial High School. Mr. Polito brought with him to BHS an entirely new atmosphere and many new ideas including the Principal's Advisory Council. It is made up of students, and he meets with them often in order to get more feedback from the students and allow them to voice their opinions concerning certain issues here at the high school. He helps to create a feeling of unity here at school as w ell as to encourage a stronger feeling of BHS pride by allowing more pep rallies in honor of our incredible athletic teams. These are just a few of the changes Mr. Polito has made. A friendly and extremely approachable man. Mr. Polito can often be seen in the hall¬ way w ith a w arm smile and extended hand as he tries to get to know the students at this school. He has proven to be a very positive addition as well as an important part of the evolution that has begun to occur at BHS. deft) Mr. Polito joins some of his students in the cafeteria, (above.)
