BETWEEN SUMMERS The life between summers is a time to learn and grow, share new experiences with classmates, or meet foreign exchange ]students. This year has proven to be both interesting and different with the new school dress code, the various clubs at Belleville West, and the traditional assemblies and activities. I The summer holds endless possibilities, like sleeping in until 1 noon, hanging out with friends at random times of the day, and watching TV until your brain fries. However, none of those events can compare to the life we live from August until May. Belleville West is where life happens. This is the life between summers! 3 of School It happens every year. The first day of school comes around, and we're not quite ready. It's time agaip for books, classes, homework, and stress. I wish they could remeber, I wish the world could see, how tough our lives can be, just how beautiful we are, the promises that are broken, how compassionate we can be. the violence we see. I wish they could take back, Yet still we venture onward, all the cynical things they've said, unsure of where the road may lead, and see how much we shine, hoping they will take notice, be positive instead. hoping they'll take heed, of the changes that we've made, Remark on our radiant smiles, of the power that we hold, and the diffrence we make, of the wisdom we we've hidden, all the people our lives have touched, of the stories yet untold. all of the chances that we take.
