The practical samples at the end of the book are very useful. The beginning of the book, page after page is used explaining what the web is, how a CMS is different from just using a bunch of flat HTML files, how to use FTP, and how to make Web-safe graphics, which are unnecessary and waste of paper. I mean somebody who is interested to learn Joomla, knows already all these basic things. The example installation on GoDaddy.com is just a bias (product placement).
