The 2016-17 school year will be remembered by all who were here as one of tremendous engagement, achievement, and most lastingly of interpersonal connection that is so apparent on these pages. There are the many structured ways we come together in class, on teams, through cadets, and in the house system. There are also the many, beautiful moments you'll remember that were of your own making and which deepened the relationships with your classmates, your teachers and mentors, and your school. As our Mission Statement starts, we create a caring community and from quiet moments in chapel, to hollering from the top of Mount Orford, we built a community at BCS that deserves to be commemorated. So, whether you are reliving fresh memories or pulling this out after years to remember the name of an old classmate or teacher, I encourage you to take a little extra time. Soak in the feeling that being at BCS gave you, and let that move you to engage and appreciate, and to take the very best of your experience and bring that to other parts of your life. 2 002-003 225410-1.indd 2 8/14/2017 10:09:25 AM Editor's Message To the BCS Community, The yearbook truly is a year long process. From taking and collecting pictures to planning and designing pages to the final edits before submission. This annual project is made possible by a handful of people and they all deserved to be thanked! First, my Yearbook Committee who dedicated time out of their busy schedules to help produce this book. I'm proud to have worked along side these 18 students. Second, the Faculty and Staff members who assisted this project through picture taking, layout planning and through their thought and opinions on various pieces of the book. Third, the Friesens team and our representative Caroline for always being available to answer questions or help out at a moments notice. Finally, my Senior Editor Quinn. She has been an exceptional editor in helping with the layout of the book as well as keeping the committee informed and on task. I wish her the best of luck for her future endeavours. Thank you to all of you!!! Tyler Gordon 3 002-003 225410-1.indd 3 8/14/2017 10:09:26 AM y t l u c a F English Department S. Kelso, H. Rothney, M. Laramee, J. Carey, M.
