Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh 31 E-library has been created with the approval and personal
blessings of Sri Satguru Uday Singh 1. You can easily access the wealth of teaching, learning
and research materials on Sr Satguru Jagit Singh Ji E-library online, which until now have only
been available to a handful of scholars and researchers.

This new Sri Satguru Jagjt Singh Ji E-library allows school children, students,
researchers and armchair scholars anywhere inthe world at any time to study and learn from
the original documents.

‘As well as opening access to our historical pieces of word heritage, digitisation ensures.
the long-term protection and conservation of these fragile treasures. This is a significant
milestone in the development of the Sri Satguru Jag Singh 3 E-Library, but it is just a first
step on a long road.

In order to continue conserving, digitising and publishing our numerous literature online,
we are asking for your support and involvement.

Please join with us in this remarkable transformation of the Library. You can share your
books, magazines, pamphiets, photos, music, videos etc. This will ensure they are preserved
for generations to come. Each item will be fully acknowledged.

Digitising our treasures is an ambitious undertaking. Every page, every object, must be
photographed individually and with great care. The whole photographic process including
lighting, colour temperature, and environmental controls must all be precisely regulated. Post
processing is also done with meticulous care including orientation, de-skewing, sizing and finally
‘quality control to ensure the documents reflect the true state of the originals.

To continue this work, we need your help

Your generous contribution and help will ensure that an ever-growing number of the Library's
collections are conserved and digitised, and are made available to students, scholars, and readers the
world over. The Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji E-Library collection is growing day by day and some
Tare and priceless books/magazines/manuscripts and other items have already been digitised.

Sri Satguru Ram Singhji Maharaj continued the
peace movement initiated by Sri Guru Arjun
Devji followed by Sri Guru Teg Bahadurji. Sri
Satguruji gave a new vision to India and
commenced the freedom movement with non
co-operation discipline. Mahatma Gandhi
followed this path of non co-operation.

Sri Satguru Partap Singhji Maharaj and the
present Spiritual Head Sri Satguru Jagjit Singhji
Maharaj continued to contribute immensely to
the freedom movement ‘and after the
independence in the’ development of their
motherland. India owes a great sense of
responsibility to Satguru Ram Singhji and His
Sikhs.

Satguru Ram Singhji remained true to the spirit of
Dharma by pioneering the freedom movement not
so much for national boundaries but to preserve
the pure spirituality of India, later taken up by
Mahatma Gandhi for all to see and others like
Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela to draw an
inspiration from. Whenever there has been an
imbalance of the dark forces over the good, India
continues produce spiritual leaders of such stature,
courage and resilience. Our humble Pranaam to
Satguru Ram Singhji for leading the way to
freedom.

brochure for Sri Satguru Ram Singhji would be
brought out on February 5 2006. The teachings
of Sri Satguru Ram Singhji has been a source of
great inspiration and comfort to generations of his
followers and countrymen and has provided all of
us with a guideline to follow in his righteous path.
We learn with admiration and awe about his
relentless crusade for religious reform and revival
and his great initiative to rid his country of the
evils of social inequality and caste hatred which is
so relevant to us even to this day. The universal
appeal of his teachings will } am sure, continue to
be a source of great encouragement and

‘Basant is the season when one feels fragrance in
the air. The nature adorns the earth with multi.
coloured blooms. Life becomes richer wi
abundance of natural beauty all around. This
colourful festival of nature is further blessed
with the divine advent of a great Guru, Satguru
Ram Singhji, whose birthday is celebrated on
Basant Panchmi . He was born in 1816.

Satguru Ram Singhji meditated deeply and
dedicated his life preaching values of NAAM:
truth, simplicity, high thinking, service to
mankind, equality, compassion and self
sacrifice. He charged His followers not only
with high moral values but also filled their
minds with patriotic energy of true freedom
fighters. Under His unique leadership, the
KOOKA MOVEMENT made tremendous
contribution and sacrifices to liberate India from
British rule. He attached equal importance to
social reforms and political emancipation.

India is indebted to Satguru Ram Singhji whose
name is preserved in history for ages. Let us
celebrate BASANT PANCHMI with joy and
pride.

reformers, a spiritual master and a national leader. He
