Fourteen years since inception in April1999 Babcock University has come a long way to becoming the
flagship of higher education in Nigeria, named the “best private university in Africa-2011” offering
undergraduate degree programmes in the Arts, Sciences, Law, Medicine, Computing and core Business
Administration to name a few. The Babcock University School of Post Graduate Studies has fully taken
off and making giant strides in its own rights to the glory of God. The torch of
KnowledgeanchoredonTruthforServicetoGod and humanity has never ceased to blaze the skies from
thisserenecornerofOgunStateinNigeria.
Sincethe publication ofour last academic bulletin,BUhasmadegreatstridesinitsstructural, physical,
andspiritualdevelopment graduating its first batch of Postgraduate students – Masters and PhDs in June
2012.

The challenges of navigatinga hitherto uncharted course of private initiative in Nigerian highereducation
have been enormous, but even more have been the out pouring of grace to meet us at the point of every
need, lift us over every developmental hurdle and point us in the direction of loftier goals, higher ideals
and greater achievements to God's glory.

Theyear2013 brings us closer to 2014, the centennial of the Seventh-day Adventist Church the
proprietors of Babcock University as well as the centennial of Nigeria as a nation state created in 1914.
Rolling out the prospect of our future development and impact on national development and higher
education in Africa and the world. Babcock University is vision guided andmissiondriven. Indeed,
