this: The past lives on in the present, impossible to
forget." As we have begun this school year, we have
also begun the journey into a new century of Oliv-
et history with the celebration of our Centennial.
It would serve us well to take a deeper look into the meaning of
Mr. Wiesel's two favorite words: "CiTid yct. ^^As we continue
throughthe Centennialyear at Olivetinthe months to come, be-
hinduslie lOOyearsoflegacy, richhistory, strongtradition, and
a firm foundation in an "Education With a Christian Purpose."
In reflecting upon the lOO years that lie behind us, we
also must look ahead. The lOO years to come will lead
us on a journey of faith with God into territory we can-
not yet see. We do not know the plans that our Fa-
ther holds for any of our futures, whether as individu-
