Rules became a topic of interest as we were A promised changes in the dress code. pos- itive note came with the announcement that blue jeans were considered acceptable during the academic day. Casual clothes became quite popular in a short period of time. A time of celebration was Homecoming. Not only were we able to show off our "new and improved" school, but Dr. Bowling was inaugurated, and it solidified in our minds that Olivet was ready for some of the best years in our history. As the year progressed, we all experienced ups and downs. Mid-terms and finals some- times got in the way of our social lives, and we were not quite sure how to handle it. There were times when we wondered if these really were the best years of our lives, but then we would remember that we were strong enough to conquer anything that could possibly happen. Things looked great. Nothing, it seemed, could stop us. And very little got in our way. We had learned that through determination, ANYTHING CAN work, and faith in Christ, HAPPEN. OPENING •L
