Interactivity contributestothefeelingofimmersioninthevirtualworld, ofbeingpartoftheaction thattheuserexperiences.Itisnotonlypossibletoseeandmanipulateavirtualobject, but also perceive them via different sensorimotor channels, such as by using haptic devices and 3D audio rendering. AugmentedReality(AR)andMixedReality(MR)technologiespermitthereal-time fusionofcomputer-generateddigitalcontentswiththerealworldandallowthecreation of fascinating new types of user interfaces. AR enhances the users’ perception and improves their interaction in the real environment. The virtual objects help the user to perform real-world tasks better by displaying information that cannot directly detect withtheirownsenses.UnliketheVRtechnologythatcompletelyimmersesusersinside a synthetic environment where they cannot see the real world around them, AR technologyallowstheuserstoperceive3Dvirtualobjects superimposeduponthereal environment. AR and MR supplement reality rather than completely replacing it, and the user is under the impression that the virtual and real objects coexist in the same space. This book contains the contributions to the 7th International Conference on Aug- mented Reality, Virtual Reality and Computer Graphics (SALENTO AVR 2020) organizedbytheAugmentedandVirtualRealityLaboratory(AVR Lab)atUniversity ofSalento,Italy,duringSeptember7–10,2020.Thisyeartheeventwasrescheduledas a virtual conference to ensure the welfare of the community. The conference series aims to bring together the community of researchers and scientists in order to discuss key issues, approaches, ideas, open problems, innovative applications,andtrendsonVRandAR,3Dvisualization,andcomputergraphicsinthe areas of medicine, cultural heritage, arts, education, entertainment, military, and industrial applications. We cordially invite you to visit the SALENTO AVR website (www.salentoavr.it) where you can find all relevant information about this event. We are very grateful to the Program Committee and Local Organizing Committee members for their support and for the time spent to review and discuss the submitted papers and doing so in a timely and professional manner.
