Acertainamountofthoughtisgiventoallofmyendem'orsand, nomatterhowlargeorsmall,Ialwaysputforththe maximumamountofeffort. Thesuccessfulcompletionofmoste\'erythingthatIundertakealwaysgivesmetheconfidencetocarry onwiththenextphaseofpersonalandscholasticenrichment. EventhoughsomeofthethingsthatIattemptdonotturnoutas planned,IalwaysstepbackandevaluatemymistakessothatIcana\-oidsimilaronesinthefuture. Gainingknowledgefrom mistakesisanimportantpartofthelearningprocess,andbye\-aluatingtheproblemandsolvingit,Igainmoreconfidenceinthat particulararea. NomatterwhattypeoftaskIbecomeinvolvedinIalwaysfindcouragetocompleteitcorrectlyandontime. Becauseof myartisticskills,Ifindmyselfinvolvedinactivitiesthatconsistofcomplextechniquesandabilitiesthatmostpeopledonotpossess. Theconstantbombardmentofrequestsformyartisticservicesseemtogoonendlessly;howe:'er,Ialwaysacceptthemwithout wonderinghowIwillfindthetimeinmybusyscheduletocompletethesetasksbecauseIhavelearnedtodisciplinemyselfandto sacrificemyownleisuretimetodoso. Mycourageandstabilityarealsokeptalivethroughtheloveandsupportofmyfriends. Thecomraderydevelopedduring highschoolyearsisdefinitelyanassettoawell-roundedperson. DuetomyvariousinterestsIhavedex'elopedclosebondswith manyindividualsandbecauseofmyconfidenceandcourageIhaveacquiredleadershipabilitiesthatonlyincreasemystaturein theeyesofmypeersaswellasinmyown IfeelcomfortableinpositionswhereIamcalledupontoleadfellowstudentsbecauseI feelthattheytrustmydecisionsandcandependonme. Oneofmymaingoalsthroughoutmyhighschoolyearshasbeentobecomeawell-roundedindividualandtokeepa carefulbalancebetweenmyacademicandathleticactivities. Indoingso,IhopetobeacceptedintotheUnitedStatesAirForce Academyupongraduationfromhighschool. AlthoughmanypeoplewonderwhyIwouldwanttoputmywholelifeintothemilitary, beingamilitaryofficertakesmuchtimeandeffort, butIfeelthathavingthechancetoser\'emycountrywillgivemeachanceto ensurethatthepeopleofournationhaveaprosperousfuture. IstandfirminmybeliefsanddreamsandknowthatwithenougheffortandcommitmentIwillfindthecourageto make thosedreamsrealities.
