V Vthe editor-in-chief for this edition of The Athena Yearbook. I have
been involved in the production of this publication since my first year as
\ an Ohio University Bobcat.During thistime,I have seen the ATHENA face
manychallenges,obstacles,andhurdles,butnever withouttriumph.
Thisyear has been no different.We,the ATHENA,havebeenvery lucky to l
havehad JanisMiller-Fox as anadvisor for the past two years.When Janis
retired in October of 2014, she ensured that we were in capable hands.
SarahMcDowellisthecurrentadvisorofTheAthenaYearbook-andsheis >
amazing! Sarahhasmadewhatcouldhavebeena rockytransitionsmooth
and seamless.Without Sarah,Iknow that I could not have survived in my
role as editor-in-chief. She has provided an abundance of guidance and
muchneededadviceaswellasservingasamentor andfriend.
Another person who has played a pivotal role in the production of the
book is Kasi Reed. Kasi and I were friends outside of the ATHENA before i
ourinvolvementwiththispublication.Itisararefindfortwoindividualsto
be such goodfriends and havetheability to work closely with each other
in an effective and efficient manner.Ihave been morethan lucky to find
thatKasiandIhavethiskindofa relationship.WithoutKasi,Idonotknow
whereIwouldbepersonally or professionally.Kasi has helped me withall
sortsof struggles,insideandoutsideof theATHENA arena.

Unfortunately, at OHIO, the interest in the ATHENA is minimal. This is
