SOUTHERN RAILWAY प्रधान कार्ाालर्/Headquarters Office, कार्मिक शाखा/Personnel Branch, चेन्नै/Chennai – 600 003 No.P(S)268/II/ASM/Vol. IX Dated: 11/12/2017 DRM/P/MAS विषर् Sub: Recruitment of candidate to the post of (Erstwhile Asst Station Master)/ Station Master in PB1- Rs.9300-34800+GP Rs.4200-Supply of RRB/ MAS papers( CEN 03/2015). ---------- Please find enclosed herewith 110 -Original RRB/MAS-STATION MASTER (along with enclosures) with communal break up 20-SC,19- ST,24-OBC,47-UR (TOTAL- 110) against DR Quota for appointment to the post of Station Master in PB1- Rs.9300-34800 +GP Rs.4200/-(Level 6 in 7th CPC) for appointment against the vacancies under Direct Recruitment Quota that can be filled up as per extant orders subject to the candidate being declared medically fit. The DR quota vacancies may be filled as per Railway Board’s extant instructions. As per Railway Board instructions, joining letters to the candidates selected against NTPC (Graduate) categories of CEN No 03/2015 should be issued in a phased manner depending upon the vacancies and schedule of Training. The allotment of papers have been made taking into consideration the pending IRT/IDT requests at Divisions. Therefore as per the directions of PCPO , the divisions should consider all IDT/IRT request transfer and implement them as per the existing policy before appointing fresh RRB candidates. The candidates may be offered appointment strictly in the order of merit assigned to him taking into consideration the Roster points. The appointment process may be done without any delay. Before issuing the offer of appointment, it may be ensured that necessary verification of identity, character and antecedents, community, educational qualification; as applicable to the subject post is completed in accordance with the Railway Board’s extant orders. Instructions contained in PBC No 170/2009 may be strictly followed. Special care should be taken to verify the community certificate of SC/ST/OBC candidates. While issuing the offer of appointment the following schedule may be adhered by the appointing authorities 1. Time limit for issuing offer of appointment from the : 15 days date of receipt. 2. RRB paper time limit for the candidates to report : 21 days from the date of issue of the offer of appointment. 3. If candidates does not report within 21 days First reminder to be issued- time limit to be given to the candidate : 15 days In case the candidate does not report for appointment even after the first reminder, a second reminder in the case of general candidates and a third reminder in the case of SC/ST candidates has to be sent duly intimating that the RRB paper is treated as ineffective and that there after no request from the candidate for appointment will be entertained. The cadre officer will give the monthly statement regarding total number of papers received and total number of candidates appointed upto 4 months to the undersigned. Ineffective papers if any, should be returned to Dy CPO/T in one bunch along with the 4th monthly statement duly adhering to the instructions contained in circular No P(RT) 563/P/1/Vol XII dated 27.06.96 and No. P(RT) 563/1/Policy dated 19.01.2000. The currency of the panel exists upto 01.11.2018. As per Railway Board’s letter No. E(RRB)/2002/13/3 dated 08.02.2003, the requirement of replacement , if any can be sought within the currency of the panel and up to 2 yrs if the currency of the panel has been extended by the General Manager. This has the approval of the Competent Authority.
