While this may be true, we believe that the difficulty of this pursuit is a result of the teaching methods and techniques that are used in teaching this language. This is not only true of students who attempt to self-teach the language but is also true for students who study Arabic full time or even travel overseas to learn the language. A common mistake that many students make is that they attempt to learn a language rather than try to acquire it; and there is a significant difference between language learning and the acquisition of it. Language learning occurs through instructions and rules, whereas language acquisition happens through a subconscious and natural process. With this program I hope that I can reshape how the Arabic language is commonly taught. This program aims to teach the language through 100s of stories that increase in complexity from level to level. ةرََّلجاو بارغُ لا - ةصَّ قِ لا Through the context of the stories and using various activities all the significant components that makeup the Arabic language will be explored and expounded upon. Thus, fulfilling my role in helping the student to not only learn the most complex rules of Arabic but to also acquire it over a period of time. The online program is a complete course that enables students to make a remarkable journey out of their endeavors. At the end of their journey they will be capable of not only living the language on a daily basis but also of understanding the most intricate nuances of the Quran. Therefore, it should be obvious that this journey will take time and students should be willing to give a little more than a few years to fully acquire mastery of theArabic language. Consequently, the program comes with many innovative and adaptive resources for students to keep in constant touch with all the material they learn. 3 ARABIC THROUGH STORIES -STORY 1 ةرََّلجاو بارغُ لا - ةصَّ قِ لا In conclusion, I would like to acknowledge that many of the stories in this course have been adopted from a variety of existing books and would like to express my thanks for them.
