Moore #538 responded to 20019 Gardenview Ave for a call regarding a Pitbull which just attacked the caller's dog and almost attack her grandchildren. Upon arrival, I met with the caller, Ronnisha Bess. At that time, Ronnisha explained that she was outside the residence with her two children, Aidan Bess (12/4/02) and Gabriella Bess (4/13/11). While outside, a brown and white Pitbull walked into the street from a residence driveway on the south side of Gardenview Ave. The Pitbull lunged towards the group and grabbed onto a dog belonging to Stephanie Bess. Ronnisha then took her children inside and notified Stephanie. The dogs were separated and the Pitbull ran into the backyard of a nearby residence. There were no visible marks or injuries on Stephanie's dog. Officers searched for the Pitbull, but were unable to locate it. I was able to locate the owner of the Pitbull, Kimberly Bobbitt. Kimberly stated that the dog ran out of the gate when someone walked through. Kimberly was given a citation for ORD 618.03- Animal at large (Citation # MA30889).
