Grape Seed Oil

Product Description

Grape Seed Oil (Vitis Vinifera) is the refined oil obtained from a numerous variety of grapes. It is a highly
polyunsaturated triglyceride oil that is stable in neutral and mildly acidic or alkaline systems. It is compatible with anionic,
nonionic and cationic surfactants. Because of its molecular structure and being rich in both Vitamin A and Vitamin E,
Grape Seed Oil is widely used in the cosmetic industry, thanks to its high fluidity and to its characteristic of being easily
absorbed by the skin. Among the most interesting constituents of grape seeds are the polyphenols (catechins). These
tannin compounds, also called procyanidins, leucoanthocyanins, pycnogenols or oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC) are
powerful antioxidants. All the more reason that Grape Seed Oil is used extensively in the cosmetic industry. Known for
its pleasant emollient properties and compatibility with lotions and surfactants, it has both soothing and healing affects on
the skin. Also used for hair conditioning and styling, Grape Seed Oil imparts a rich silky luster. As noted, this oil pressed
from Grape Seeds contains a number of essential fatty acids and is especially rich in Vitamin E compounds. Grape
Seed Oil…..an ancient natural ingredient, for a new age.
Solubility:
Grape Seed Oil is miscible with mineral oil and isopropyl esters. It is insoluble in water.
