DuetoimplementationofSelectiveAvailabilitybytheUnitedStatesDepartmentofDefense(DoD),allGPS receiversmaysufferdegradationofpositionaccuracy.TheDoDhasstatedthat95%ofthetimehorizontal accuracywillnotbedegradedmorethan100mand99.9%ofthetimeaccuracywillnotbedegradedmore than300m. InstallationsofTSOC-129authorizedApolloSL50/60(cid:146)smaybeapprovedforsupplementalnavigationonly. TheApolloSL50/60maybeusedastheprimarynavigationdatadisplay,however,othermeansofnavigation appropriatetotheintendedrouteofflightmustbeinstalledandoperational.Itisnotrequiredthattheseother systemsbemonitored. FCCNotice ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice,pursuantto part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interferenceduringresidentialuse.Operationissubjecttothefollowingtwoconditions:(1)thisdevicemaynot causeharmfulinterference,and(2)thisdevicemustacceptanyinterferencereceived,includinginterference thatmaycauseundesiredoperation.Thisequipmentgenerates,usesandcanradiateradiofrequencyenergy and,ifnotinstalledandusedinaccordancewiththeinstructions,maycauseharmfulinterferencetoradio communications.However,thereisnoguaranteethatinterferencewillnotoccurinaparticularinstallation.If thisequipmentdoescauseharmfulinterferencetoradioortelevisionreception,whichcanbedeterminedby turningtheequipmentoffandon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrecttheinterferencebyoneormoreof thefollowingmeasures: (cid:149) Reorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna.
