TheGlobalPositioningSystem(GPS)isoperatedbytheUnitedStatesDepartmentofDefensewhichissolely
responsiblefortheaccuracy,dailyoperation,andmaintenanceofthesatelliteconstellation.Systemaccuracy
isaffectedbytheDepartmentofDefense(cid:146)sSelectiveAvailability(SA)andtheDilutionofPrecision(DOP)
attributedtopoorsatellitegeometry.
DuetoimplementationofSelectiveAvailabilitybytheUnitedStatesDepartmentofDefense(DoD),allGPS
receiversmaysufferdegradationofpositionaccuracy.TheDoDhasstatedthat95%ofthetimehorizontal
accuracywillnotbedegradedmorethan100mand99.9%ofthetimeaccuracywillnotbedegradedmore
than300m.
InstallationsofTSOC-129authorizedApolloSL50/60(cid:146)smaybeapprovedforsupplementalnavigationonly.
TheApolloSL50/60maybeusedastheprimarynavigationdatadisplay,however,othermeansofnavigation
appropriatetotheintendedrouteofflightmustbeinstalledandoperational.Itisnotrequiredthattheseother
systemsbemonitored.

ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaClassBdigitaldevice,pursuantto
part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interferenceduringresidentialuse.Operationissubjecttothefollowingtwoconditions:(1)thisdevicemaynot
