À LA PAGE !
L’édition 2014 du Petit Robertvient de mettre fin à l’une des plus grandes carences de la
langue française : « galocher ». Voilà le verbe que l’on pourra désormais conjuguer en
toute légalité linguistique. Depuis le temps que nous attendions une traduction du
French kiss, c’est-à-dire embrasser avec la langue, nous voilà satisfaits ! Le terme est net,
expressif, précis, direct et sans équivoque. Laissons enfin les patins aux patinoires et les pelles
aux chantiers ! Il nous aura fallu patienter presque cent ans. Le French kiss, mondialement
connu – et apprécié –, a en effet été inventé lors de la Première Guerre mondiale par les soldats
de l’US Army,« impressionnés » par les mœurs des Françaises. Leur doit-on aussi le French
