STEENBEKE, SR. Jim and Mary Steenbeke movedto Boscawen and started Steenbeke's General Store in April 1954. Elected Selectman in March 1960, he served in that capacity for 12 years. He was here to see the Planning Board established in 1963, to see the earlywork on the sewer system, anew Fire House in 1969, and was instrumental inbringing Elektrisolato Boscawen. His grandson, James H. Steenbeke, III, is now President and Owner ofthe companythat he and Mary founded, and his extended family is involved, notonly inthe company, but in many ofthe Town affairs. To the Inhabitants ofthe Town ofBoscawen in the County ofMerrimack in said State, qualifiedto vote in Town Affairs: You are hereby notified to meet at the Town Hall in said Boscawen on Tuesday, the twelfth day ofMarch, 2002, at Eight ofthe Clock in the Forenoon, to actuponthe following subjects: 1. To choose all necessaryTown Officers fortheyearensuing. YOUARE FURTHERNOTIFIEDTOMEETATTHE TOWNHALLIN BOSCAWENONTUESDAY,THETWELFTH DAY OFMARCH,2002,AT 7:30PMTOACT UPONTHE FOLLOWING SUBJECTS 2. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum not to exceed $2,450,000 for the purpose of preparing plans and specifications, land acquisitions and/or easements, and for the construction of sewer and drain improvements located in the Gage Street and School Street areas ofBoscawen as identified as Project #1 in an engineering report prepared on March 30, 2001, and to authorize the issuance of not more than $ 1,352,000 of bonds or notes in accordance with the provisions ofthe Municipal Finance Act, NH RSA 33:1 et. seq., as amended; and to authorize the Selectmen to issue and negotiate such bonds or notes and to determine the rate of interest thereon as shall be in the best interest ofthe Town including the use of the State Revolving Loan Fund (SRF) RSA 486:14 established for this purpose and/or USDA Office of Rural Development, if desired. The balance of $ 1,098,000 or such part thereof as necessary to complete said project to be raised by applicable State, Federal or other Grant programs and to authorize the Selectmen to apply for and obtain and accept Federal, State or other grants or aid, if any, which may be available for said Project and to comply with all laws applicable to said Project; andto pass anyvote relatingthereto. (2/3 ballotvote) Recommended by Selectmen and Majority ofthe Budget Committee 3. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum not to exceed $1,675,000 for the purpose of architectural and engineering design and construction of improvements and equipping the Town Offices andthe Police Station atthe former Main Street School, located on North Main Street; to authorize the issuance of not more than
