Sununu SENATOR Judd Gregg TOWN OF AUBURN Tothe Residents ofAuburn: Once more we come togetherto make the decisions that will steerthe course ofthe Town forthe ensuing year. Each ofus must make this task ourown responsibility. Town government works when we participate. Without that participation, only a few make the decisions that affect us as a whole. Once again we were unfortunate to suffer a great loss in 1997. Lt. Donald G. Eaton was a part of Auburn by virtue ofhis caring service to the town. A resident ofDerrj', we were lucky to have in him a police officerwho cared above and beyond. Our sympathies go out to his family and the Auburn Police Department. The past several years have been difficult as residents wrestled with issues that created polar division within the town. With the decision making process behind us, we now need togo forward with only the best interests ofthe Town ofAuburn foremost. Let us work together for the benefit ofthose ofus who live in the town and care forthe best outcome forthe town. I would like to thank you for the opportunitv' to serve you these past six years. As I leave the Board ofSelectmen, I can onlytryto impress upon each ofyou the tremendous feeling ofaccomplishment which results from public service. As I have inthe past, I urge each and ever>' one ofyou to consider service tothe town. Granted it can be challenging, but we only meet our potential when we are tested. Thank you very much. ^ ^a^^cyO^ ^~^' /?/-g^ Paula T. Marizrlzdl:on ^LU.-^ // James F. Headd Albert J.
