TochooseallTownOfficersfortheensuingyearbyofficialballot.Thepolls willopenat 11:00a.m. andcloseat 9:00p.m.,andthebusinessmeetingwill commence at 7:00 p.m. 2. To see if the Town will vote to approve, by ballot of "yes" or "no," the following amendments to the town zoning ordinance as proposedby the PlanningBoard: Note: This is a non-discussionitem, tobevotedbyballot atthepolls. 1. Are you in favor of changing Article IV, J: CHANGE OF NONCON- FORMINGLOTS, toArticleIV,J.2andaddingArticleV,J.l soitreads: NonconformingLots: A nonconforminglot ofrecord as ofthe effective dateofthisordinanceoramendmenttheretomaybebuiltupon,without the need for a variance, provided that all provisions ofthis Ordinance exceptlot size and/orfrontage canbe met. 2. Are you in favor of changing Article IV,0.1: ROAD FRONTAGE so it reads:Anylotortractoflandshallhaveaminimumroadfrontageofone hundred fifty (150) consecutive feetonatleastone road,providingthat alotortractoflandwithone (1) singlefamilydwellingmaybeallowed withlessornofrontageifaccesstosaidlotortractoflandisprovidedby a deeded right-of-wayordriveway servingnotmore thantwolots and which is constructed so as tobe adequate for fire and otheremergency vehicles, and provided further that the minimum frontage provision shallnotimplythateachunityofownershipwheresomelandisowned incommonsuchasinaplannedunit,cluster,orcondominiumdevelop- mentneedhaveminimum allocated frontage. 3. ToseeiftheTownwillvotetoauthorizeatwopercentdiscountonproperty taxesifpaidwithinthirtydaysofthedateofthetaxbiU.(Recommendedby the Selectmen) 4. ToseeiftheTownwillvotetoraiseandappropriatethesumof$2,150tobe administered by the coordinators and to provide programming in the gazeboontheHebronCommonforthefiscalyearof1998. (Recommended bythe Selectmen) 5. ToseeiftheTownwillvotetoraiseandappropriatethesumof$11,000for Page 6 TOWN OFHEBRON repairsandsealingtheGeorgeRoadfromRte.3AtothetopofOrchardHill where thepavementpresentlyends. (Recommendedby the Selectmen) 6. ToseeiftheTownwillvotetoraiseandappropriatethesumof$20,000for Hobart Hill Road improvements and authorize the Selectmen to transfer $20,000fromthefundbalance.Thisistoreplaceculvertsandrepairsidesof theroadfromSherwoodKidderstoapproximatelyErnestAdams' (Recom- . mendedbythe Selectmen) 7. To see ifthe Townwillvote to raise and appropriate the sum of$1,125 to paveFavorRoad.Thissumwillbeappliedwiththesumencumberedfrom 1997warrantarticle5.(Seebalancesheet)(RecommendedbytheSelectmen) 8. To see ifthe Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of$6,200to paveButternutRidgeRoad.Thissumwillbeappliedwiththesumencum- bered from 1997warrant article 7. (See balance sheet) (Recommendedby Selectmen) 9. To seeiftheTownwillvotetoraise andappropriatethe sumof$10,000to pave CrossRoad. (Recommendedbythe Selectmen) 10. ToseeiftheTownwillvotetoraiseandappropriatethesumof$11,000: (a) ($4,000)topainttheSelectmen'sOfficeandLibrary(b) ($4,000)topaintthe Rogers Property house (c) ($3,000) to paint the cemetery fence. (Recom- mendedbythe Selectmen) 11. ToseeiftheTownwillvote toraise and appropriate the sum of$3,000for repairs and improvements to the Hebron-Groton Athletic field. (Recom- mendedbythe Selectmen) 12. ToseeiftheTownwillvotetoraiseandappropriatethesumof$66,500for thefollowingcapitalreserves:Police$6,000,Fire$11,000,Highway$6,000, Communication$3,000, EMS$10,500,Bridges$10,000, TownHall (Rogers Property) $20,000. (Recommendedbythe Selectmen) 13. We the undersigned as property owners and voters in Hebron hereby petitiontheBoardofSelectmentoraisethenecessarymoniestopaveJames LaneandtheportionofSarahLanenotpavedassoonaspossible.Thetwo roadsareverymuddyinthespringandextremelydustyinthesummeras wellasveryunsmoothmostofthetime.Thedustaffectstheexteriorofthe housesaswellastheinteriorandcarsastheytraveltheroads. (Bypetition- seepetitionattheendofthewarrant)(NotrecommendedbytheSelectmen) 14. To seeiftheTownwillvote toraiseand appropriate the sum of$1,800for fireprooffilesintheTown Office. To see ifthe Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of$2,500 to study the relocation ofGeorge Roadwith the intersection ofNorth Shore. (Recommendedby the Selectmen) 17. To see ifthe Townwill vote to raise and appropriate the sum of$2,000 to level part of the town shed lot and to authorize the Selectmen to use $1,918.41 from warrant article #10 of the 1996 town meeting for this purpose. (Recommendedbythe Selectmen) 18. To seeifthe Townwillvote toraise and appropriate such sums ofmoney asmaybenecessarytodefraychargesfortheensuingyear.Thisarticlewill exclude allwarrant articles. Ihetwo roads arevery muddy inthe Spring and extremelydusty in the summer as well asvery unsmooth mostofthe time.
