Architects Childs Bertman Tseckares Inc. redesigned the accessible Avon St. entry to match the dignity and grace ofthe original Cram and Ferguson building. Built using both state and local funds, and furnished in large measure by private donations, the welcoming library attracts twice the number of patron visits. The handsome Quiet Reading Room was among twen- ty-two libraries nationally featured in the architectural issue of LibraryJournal. The drawings in this year's Annual Report were createdby students in Ms. Joy Schilling's Graphic Design class at Wakefield Memorial High School.
