Pelletier 1/5/56 to 10/3/05 In October, Weare lost a dedicated public servant who was well-loved in the community. Matthew Bryan Pelletier, 49, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Nashua, he had lived in Weare for the past 20 years. He was the son of Rudolf and Lucille Pelletier. His wife, Tina Pelletier, whom he married in May, 2004, said he will be remembered as a caring person who was well liked. He loved life and always looked for the good in others. He always thought of others' needs before his own, and he was loved by everyone who knew him." He loved to read books about history and enjoyed research. He also enjoyed camping, especially in Pittsburg, NH. He made his own fishing flies, and fishing was a hobby that gave him great pleasure. After graduating high school in the 1970s, he went out West, where, in Gillette, Wyoming, he worked for a while in a coal mine. Matthew had been employed as a tooling manager for more than 20 years with NU-CAST ofLondonderry. He had friendships there that reached back 30 years. Matthew served Weare as a Cemetery Trustee for 12 years and as a Zoning Board member for a year and a half. Memoriam In Florence Wheldon 1918-2005 Florence (Breed) Wheldon was born April 27, 1918 in Milford, Mass. Florence Breed attended Clinton Grove Academy and graduated from Weare High School. In 1938, she married William "Red" Wheldon and raised six children. In addition to her family, she provided 34 dedicated years of service to our Town as Emergency Dispatcher for Fire, Police and Rescue calls. Day and night, and night and day. She answered the red phone and dispatched the departments that were needed for the emergency calls. Florence Wheldon's love for and dedication to our town has earned her our town love and respect. When 911 services came online she always remained connected, by watching meetings on the Weare Cable Channel and taking days to drive around the town watching it grow. She left 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and two great- great grandchildren. She always enjoyed baking for the family holidays and the gatherings in her home. She will be missed by many. MEMORIAM IN Bruce David Benzel 5/10/52 to 11/15/05 Bruce Benzel was more than an Animal Control Officer (ACO) in the Town ACO of Weare. While Bruce's dedication, and commitment, to the position was recognized throughout Hillsborough County, he was a caring friend to all who knew him. Bruce offered inspirational support and assistance to the four legged and human population, from finding or caring for injured animals, to rising above and beyond all expectations, when he stepped forth to find a own missing child with his dog. His dedication was obvious as shown through his good-natured willingness to offer a helping hand to members of the Weare Police Department and the Weare Community. entire Acknowledgement of Bruce Benzel's many fine qualities and accomplishments will never exceed the heartfelt appreciation and loss suffered by of all.
