It was full ol typical trials and tribulations with the ever changing law coming from Concord. The Selectmen and BobCoy, I mergenc) Management Director manned The EOC. 1 he Fire Department and Rescue Squad divided up the task ofalerting all residents with out power, ofthe situation and ot the evacuation center set up in Swan/e\ at the High School. We finally d on the \ etS Hall Parking lot It is almost complete. It will need a final grading and a tv>p coal ol gravel when spring comes and the fill has settled. \\ c will then spread a little loam and dress up the area around the lot to allow lor grass and mowing. We arc still collecting bids on the handicapped restroom project. We had two sides ofthe \ eterans Hall painted in the spring, and hope to paint the other two sides this season. We also plan on painting two sides ofthe lown Hall. JC started the process ofclearing the back ofthe Amidon Park area. He has additional plans to do more this summer. W c had 2o building permits. 5 were houses, 2 were additions. 15 were garages and barns etc and 4 were porches and decks. Our office and the Tax Office arc very happ) with the new assessing and mapping software. We bought a new color laser printer and will soon be printing out property maps in color as well as property cards. W c hired Be\ 1 [art to be our secretary and she deserves an atta-boy for adjusting so quickl) She is a welcome addition to our office. Thank you to Geraldine Lutz for her . hard work on the Municipal Buildings and Beach grounds. We offer a special thank you to her sister Marcia lee. who volunteered generously toward the major cleanup at the start ofthat project. Y\ e again this year want to thank all the volunteers that work so hard to keep our 1 own such a great place to live. This includes all the committee members, both elected and volunteer, that devote so much oftheir time. Also to the Emergency Management, Fire Department.
