MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING TOWN OF PEMBROKE MARCH 1993 9, The meeting was opened at 10:00 a.m. by Moderator Petit with a moment ofprayer. A motion was made to read and act on Articles #1 through #3, the remaining articles to be acted upon at the deliberative session on March 13. YES 414 NO 99 ARTICLE #2 ADOPTED ARTICLE #3: To see ifthe Town is in favor ofthe following Amendments to the existing Zoning Ordinance ofthe Town ofPembroke, as proposed and recommended by the Planning Board: AMENDMENT #1 Amend section 2.0, Definitions, by adding the following definition: Code Enforcement Officer: The individual designated by the local governing body to administer and enforce the Zoning Ordinance, Building Codes and other building related codes, unless otherwise specified in the code, as adopted by the Town. Change the terms "Building Inspector" and "Zoning Ordinance Enforcement Officer" to "Code Enforcement Officer" in each location that it occurs. The intent ofthis amendment is to make the Zoning Ordinance consistent in it's use ofterms with all other Town regulations and Ordinances. YES NO AMENDMENT ADOPTED 387 92 #1 AMENDMENT #2 Amend section 2.0, Definitions, by deleting the term "House Trailer". Amend section 2.0, Definitions, "Dwelling" by deleting the word "trailer" and adding the words "recreation vehicle". Amend section 2.0, Definitions, by deleting the Term "Mobile Home" and substitute the following definition: Recreation Vehicle: Any ofthe following t}'pes ofvehicles: (a) Motorhome or van. which is a portable. temporar\' dwelling to be used for travel, recreation and vacation, constructed as an integral part ofa self-propelled vehicle. (b) Pickup camper, which is a structure designed to be mounted on a truck chassis for use as a temporar}" dwelling for travel, recreation, and vacation. (c) Recreational trailer, which is a vehicular, portable structure built on a single chassis. It shall be designed primarily not for use as a permanent dwelling but as a temporar\' dwelling for recreational, camping, travel or seasonal use. (d) Tent trailer, which is a canvas or synthetic fiber folding structure, mounted on wheels and designed for travel, recreation, and vacation purposes. Amend section 4.0. Table ofUses, by deleting item number 7, "Mobile Home", and adding "Recreation Vehicle", to be permitted in all zoning districts. Amend section 12.06 by deleting the term "Mobile Home" and replacing it with "Recreation Vehicle" in each location that it occurs. Amend section 12.06 by inserting the following into the first sentence: "outside ofa licensed campgroimd" . Amend section 12.06 (1) by inserting the following at the end ofthe last sentence: "or for a period ofuse not to exceed sixty (60) days per year". The intent ofthis amendment is to bring the Ordinance into compliance with the State RSA relative to Manufactured Housing. YES 355 NO 104 AMENDMENT #2 ADOPTED AMENDMENT #3 Amend section 10.02 (1), Architectural Design Overlay District, by eliminating the words "use permits, either by right or special exception" in the second sentence and substituting the follow^ing "site plan review" Amend section 10.02 (3), Architectural Design Overlay District, by eliminating the words "use permits, either by right or special exception" in the first sentence and substituting the following: "site plan review" The intent ofthis amendment is to require Architectural Design of structures only during Site Plan review.
