FARNSWORTH. Conservation Commission Chairman for many years (15). Member and Former President of the Ipswich River Watershed Association. « Member and Former President of the Historical Society. Builder of Lura Woodside Watkins Museum. Member of many town committees. Respected by everyone with whom he came in contact, Ray was always honest and sincere. As Chairman of the Conservation Commission for over 15 years, he always adhered to the pertinent rules and regulations. He gave generously of his time and labor in building the Lura Woodside Watkins Museum on Pleasant Street. He was a strong supporter of all environmental policies and projects to improve the town. Norm Nathan's favorite saying -"You're a good person" - was never any more meaningful than when applied to Ray and to whom it may be truly said - "He was a gentle person".
