Brooks, Selectmen's Representative TOWN WARRANT The State of New Hampshire The Polls will be open from 11:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Tothe InhabitantsoftheTownofEaton in theCountyofCarroll in said Slate,qualified to vote in Town Affairs: You are hereby notified to meet at the Evans Memorial Building (Town Hall) in the Town of Eaton, County of Carroll on Tuesday the ninth day of March, 1993 at eleven o'clock in the morning to act upon the following subjects hereinafter set forth. The polls shall open for balloting at 11:00 A.M., or as soon thereafter as the Moderator calls the meeting toorderand declares aquorum present. Voting on Article 1 (election ofofficers) shallbebyofficialballot.Theremainingarticleson thewarrantshall beacted upon ateight o'clock in the evening. Article #1. To choose all necessary Town Officers for the year ensuing. Article #2. To raise such sums of money that may be necessary to defray town charges for the ensuing yearand make appropriations ofthe same; including town officers salaries, town officersexpenses,election andregistration expenses, expensesoftheTown Hall and other buildings. Social Security and Withholding taxes, emergency services, insurance, civil defense,healthdepartment,vitalstatistics,wastedisposal,townroadmaintenance(summer and winter, highway blockgrant,andgeneralexpenses), streetlighting, townpoorandold ageassistance, recreation, cemeteries, interest, planning and zoning, legal expenses. State revenue sharing, capital reserve funds,general fund trusts, and unemploymentcompensa- tion. Article #3. ToseeiftheTownwillauthorizetheSelectmentoborrowmoneyinanticipationoftaxes, ifnecessary. Article#4. To see ifthe Town will authorize the Selectmen to administer and dispose ofany real estate acquired by the Town through Tax Collector Deeds, reference RSA 80:42. Article #5. To see ifthe Town will authorize the Selectmen to apply for, accept, and expend such Federal, State or other governmental unit or private source of funding which becomes RSA available during the year, in accordance with 3l:95-b. Article #6. To see if the Town will authorize the Eaton Conservation Commission to retain the unexpended portion ofits 1992 receipts, said funds to be placed in a special conservation fund, in accordance with RSA 36-A:5. Article #7. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of $1.00 for the establishmentoftheTownofEatonVolunteerFireDcpartmentandtodirecttheFireChief, DeputyFireChiefandoneSelectmanto:organizevolunteers,supervisetraining,purchase appropriate equipment and insurance, establish mutual aid agreements, find housing for equipment,directfundraising and receivecertification from aStateofN.H.Fire Marshall before responding to anything other than woods fires in the Town ofEaton. Agreeable to a petition signed by James J. Coogan III and others. This Article is not recommended by the Board ofSelectmen. Article #8. To see ifthe Town will authorize the establishmentofacapital reserve fund (pursuant to RSA Chapter 35) for replacing and renovating the roofofTown Hall and to raise and appropriate the sum of$3,000 towards thispurpose, and appoint the Selecunen as agents to administer the fund. Article #9. To see iftheTown will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of$7,500 for shimming ofTown roads. Article #10. To see ifthe Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of$10,000 forrepairs to Towle Hill Rd. Article #11. To see ifthe Town will vote to raise and ^propriate the sum of$440.00 in support of & the Children Youth Project ofthe Mt. Washington Valley. Agreeable to a petition signed by Judith M. Goss and others. Article #12. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of$93.00 in support of Carroll County Against Domestic Violence and Rape's shelter for battered women and children. Agreeable to a petition signed by Bobbi Hoyt and others. Article #13. To see iftheTown will vote to raiseandappropriatethe sum of$759.00 forsupportof the Gibson Center for Senior Services. Agreeable to a petition signed by James C. Worcester and others. Article#14. To see ifthe Town will vole to raise and appropriate the sum of$181.00 for the Early Intervention Program (birth to 3 years) ofChildren Unlimited, Inc. Agreeable to a petition signed by Jacqueline M. Sparks and others.
