AreyouinfavoroftheadoptionofAmendmentNo. 2totheHennikerZoning Ordinance, asproposedbythePlanningBoard, asfollows: AmendSection 1703by deletingthesecondsentence, sothattheentiresectionasamendedwouldread, "Anon- complyingstructuremaybeenlargedorextendedprovidingtheenlargementorextension complieswiththeprovisionsofthisOrdinance." Thesentencetobedeletedstatesthat anyotherenlargementorextensionofanon-complyingstructuremaybemadeifa varianceisobtained. Thepurposeoftheamendmentistoconformtheordinancetostate law. YES 451 NO 166 4. AreyouinfavoroftheadoptionofAmendmentNo. 3totheHennikerZoning Ordinance, asproposedbythePlanningBoard, asfollows: AmendSection2802to requirethatanyonewhoproposestoconstructawirelesscommunicationstowermust provideadequateassurancesofthesafetyoftheproposedtower, includingdemonstration ofanadequatefallzone, whichmayberequiredtobecontainedentirelywithinthe propertyonwhichthetoweristobeconstructed. Theamendmentwouldalsochangethe titleofSection2802from "VisualImpact" to "VisualImpactandSafety." YES 514 NO 113 5. The Girl Scouts conducted aflag ceremony.Joseph Damour made a presentation toJohn Partridgeforhisserviceas Chairman oftheZoningBoard, andtoDave CurrierforhisserviceasSelectmanfrom1978to1989andEmergencyManagementDirectorfrom 1984to1998. WilliamDamour, Moderator, explainedtheproceduretobefollowedattheTown Meeting. TheModerator read the resultsfrom voting on Tuesday, March 9, 1999 and then declaredthemeetingopen. . 7. VOTEDtoraiseandappropriatethesumofOneHundredForty-SevenThousandOne HundredElevenDollars($147,111)fortheRescueSquadandFireDepartment. SelectmenRecommend. RescueSquad $ 60,057.00 FireDepartment $ 87,054.00 Total $147.111.00 Arateof$5.15perhourfortheRescueSquadandFireDepartmentwas includedinthetotalsabove. 8. VOTEDtoraiseandappropriatethesumofTwenty-FiveThousandDollars($25,000)to beaddedtotheAmbulanceCapitalReserveFundestablishedin 1988underthe provisionsofRSA35:1 forthepurposeofanambulancefortheRescueSquad. SelectmenRecommend. 9. VOTEDtoraiseandappropriatethesumofOneHundredThirty-FiveThousandDollars ($135,000)topurchaseaFireTruck/TankerfortheFireDepartment. Selectmen Recommend. 10. VOTEDtoauthorizetheuseoftheproceedsfromthesaleofthe 1979FireTruckforthe purchaseofequipmentonthenewFireTruck/Tanker; andfurthermore,tovotetoraise andappropriateasumofmoneyuptotheamountofFiveThousandDollars($5,000)for saidpurchase. Nopartofsaidexpenditurewillcomefromtaxation. Selectmen Recommend. 11 VOTEDtoestablishanExpendableGeneralFundTrustFundundertheprovisionsof RSA31:19-a,tobeknownastheFire/RescueDepartmentBuildingMaintenanceFund, forthepurposeofrepairingandmaintainingtheFire/RescueDepartmentbuilding, andto raiseandappropriatethesumofTwoThousandFiveHundredDollars($2,500)forthis purpose. SelectmenRecommend. 12. VOTEDtoraiseandappropriatethesumofOneMillionFifty-TwoThousandDollars ($1,052,000)forthePattersonHillBridge; NineHundredSeventy-TwoThousand Dollars($972,000)tobepaidbytheStateofNewHampshireundertheStateAidBridge ProgramandEightyThousandDollars($80,000)tocomefromlocaltaxation.
