Jafari THE ANNALS INDEX VOLUME 18 oa Margaret B. Swain University of California, Davis, USA Annals. Volume 18 began with a Special Issue on Tourism Social Science 18(1) covering the background and potential of ten disciplinary approaches to the study of tourism. Subsequent issues illustrate the evolution of thought in tourism studies envisioned in Annals 18(1). With index economy as well as accuracy in mind, several new subject headings are introduced below. Concern for environmental issues, tourist knowledge, and the growing web of global tourism are reflected in these terms. SUBJECT INDEX Citations in Bold Face refer to entire issues.
