NOTIFICATION No.33/SO/2019 In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (2) of Section 13 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) read with Rule 1 of the Rules framed with regard to appointment of Special Judicial Magistrate of II Class/Special Metropolitan Magistrate, the High Court of Andhra Pradesh, hereby confers on the persons mentioned in column (2) of the table below, all the powers of Special Judicial Magistrates of II Class, to exercise at the places shown in column (3) in respect of particular cases or particular classes of cases, as may be specified by the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chittoor District, to enable them to [ 1 ] 2 ANDHRA PRADESH GAZETTE, January 29, 2020 function as Special Judicial Magistrates of II Class, in their respective stations in Chittoor District, for a period of TWO YEARS, from the date they assume charge of their respective posts as such, or till they attain the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier, subject to condition that if any individual, refuses/ fails to join duty within the stipulated period, his/her claim to the said post shall be forfeited and the services of the officer appointed shall be liable to be terminted without any notice. Under sub-section (1) of Section 14 and sub-section (2) of Section 15 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973 the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chittoor District, may issue special orders defining the local limits, from time to time and also as to the distribution of the business among the Special Judicial Magistrates of II Class to exercise the powers in their respective stations.
