Description:

This study has analyzed and evaluated the potential facilities and export advantages of Afghanistan in the production and exportation of agricultural products during the years 1390-1391. The main objectives of this study are to identify Afghanistan's potential agricultural products for export, identify Afghanistan's export advantage in agricultural products, identification and introduction of opportunities for the growth of the country's competitive agricultural products and provide specific suggestions to increase the country's export advantage in specific agricultural products.

To study the comparative advantage of agricultural products from the export point of view and to determine the competitive position of the country among major trading partners, six indicators including Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Revealed Systemetic Comparative Advantage (RSCA), Balance index, Mitchell Index (MI), Trade Balance Index (CTB) and Kaido were found to be suitable for determining and measuring comparative advantage before the calculation of the above indices, the necessary preconditions for trade and comparative advantage of Hilman's condition for Afghanistan and other countries have been studied and evaluated. Among the above methods, in addition to Hillman's preconditions for using these indicators to perform comparative analyzes of the comparative advantage of agricultural products between the countries similar to Afghanistan, only the RCA, RSCA, and Kaido indices have been selected for analysis. It’s worth mentioning that due to the lack of required data, their comparative advantage has been measured using Balance, MI, and CTB indices, but has not been studied comparatively.
