I. THE PROBLEM Statement of the problem. The purpose of th is study was to determine if there is a difference in the scores obtained for Negro, Mexican, and White individuals on the Kuder Preference Record. The Importance of the study. Interests of Mexican, Negro, and White individuals have been considered to he d if­ ferent in a number of field s. This investigation w ill pro­ vide an objective measure of the level of in terests of each of these three groups on the nine scales of the Kuder Pref­ erence Record. These resu lts w ill show to what degree d if­ ferences do exist* In the United States a considerable
