I receive SMS advisory at every Tuesday and Friday Regularly. After me other farmers of my village were also registered under this programme and now we can accept that we got 10-20% profit with this advisory. In 2013 the forecast about heavy rainfall was very much useful and we saved our field crops and in 2014 to late monsoon forecast helped us for crop contingency planning. We also get latest information for insect and disease management. Block level agro advisory is the demand of the time which will be useful . BENEFITS/LOSES DUE TO AAS • Unseasonal rainfall of 16 mm was observed on 21-22st January , 2014 which was not forecasted. • some rabi crops were affected due to unseasonal rainfall. Late monsoon was forecasted during June – July, 2014. Agro advisory according to that was generated and the farmers following GKMS regularly could follow the crop contingency plan and minimize the damage due to late monsoon which is 10- 20% economically beneficial. FAP funds • Funds for farmers awareness program was received on 31st March ,2014 from IMD. • FAP was organized at Tribal Women Training centre, Dahod on 3rd March , 2014 . • FAP will be organized in December month in current financial year. • Raingauges have been visited before monsoon season.
