His thesis focuses on development av gr ethics using a political economy approach. He has studied econom- al P ics, sociology, and business at University of Crete, University of East y - e n Anglia, University of Kent, and Technological Institute of Patras. His d y S academic and research interests mainly refer to the fields of social of y economics, political economy, and development ethics. His publications include two book chap- ed t s n ters and two papers in the Journal of Economic Issues . e c Al Campbell is a professor emeritus in economics at the University of om - li c Utah, a member of the Steering Committee of the Union of Radical ct. e n Political Economists, and a member of the Socialism Working Group n o c of the International Initiative for Promoting Political Economy. His ve a research interests include the political economy of capitalism, par- algr p ticularly its present form of neoliberalism, and the political economy w. w of socialism, particularly the issues of popular economic participation m w and control, and planning. al fro Alex De Ruyter is professor of human resource management at ateri m Canterbury Christ Church University, Kent, UK. His research inter- ht g ests fall in the area of international human resource management, yri p and economic and labor market adjustment and flexible employment. Co Alex has also conducted research on public sector and third- sector workforce and labor market issues. In all of these areas he has pub- lished extensively in leading international journals, including the European Journal of Industrial Relations , J ournal of Economic Issues , and C ambridge Journal of Regions Economy and Society .
