Bacause ‘such dala may eortain confidential information, itis not open to public review: 470.3 ADMINISTRATION ‘The ALPR technology, alze known as License Plate Racagniten (LPR, allows for the automated detection of conse plates. I is used hy the Sausalito Polos Deparment 1a convert data associated with vehicle license plates for oficial law enforeament purposes, luding identifying siolen or wertod vehicles, stolen Irense plates and missing persons. t may alsa be used lo tgather information related to active warrants, homeland secur, elacttonic surveillance, suspect interdiction anc stolen property racavery. Allinstalation and minlenanca of Al PR equipment, as well as ALPR dala retention and access, shall be managed by the Support Seve Division Commander.
