There are those who are scornful of tradition and so completely center their attention and work on "legal proof" and "the records that prove" that they fail to get the valuable facts that maysometimes belearned fromfollowing tradition. For such presistent tradition or repeated hearsaytherecan usually be found evidence that changes them to fact. What we learn from our parents concerning their parents may be presumed to be reliable family information. If we record from the lips of our grandparents the information they give us of their grandparents, such information isevidence rather than family tradition. What has been learned from the lips of those who reliably know facts of family history and then written or recorded is rescued from the character of family tradition. We must remember that "legal proof" and "the record that shows" are not infallible - census records aresometimesgrievouslywrong aswell as probate and will records, eitherthrough errors or intentional leaving out of names of family members. So all family facts should be considered and recorded when there is varience or difference of opinion. So the time has come to bring this record to a close. It's accomplishment has given satisfaction and compensation for the long hours of extensive research ^ and work. V May it give much pleasure to it's readers. £_ , The Compiler v> " rt "Toil Is The Love of Life and It's Best Fruit" Sir Lewis Morris, 1833-1907.
