Description:Mirabelle didn't love her life in society. She hated the hunt for the perfect husband to set her up for life. She wanted more. She wanted intelligent conversation. She wanted love.
Her
parents had made it very clear that she was to become betrothed before
the end of the season. She wasn't allowed to do anything that was
considered unlady-like. Such as talk of the war or current events in
London.
She falls in love with Phineas, but he is only a lowly
captain. Her mother insists that she marry nobility and money. A lowly
captain in the war isn't even close to acceptable.
A plan
develops in her mind. A way for her to go to her beloved after he leaves
to go back to Spain and the war. She goes to find her brothers who are
also fighting. She knows she can find Phineas, too. She finds out more
than she wants to know once she arrives.
Will what she overhears make this treacherous journey a big mistake? Will she even be able to find her loving brothers?
This is a clean romance with no swearing, sex, or violence.
