THIS BOOK HAS BEEN BUILDING inside me for many years. I have always
loved the subject of aliens and ancient Egypt. My love of Egypt stems from the
very first images I saw of the Sphinx and the Great Pyramid as a child. This
fascination continued after reading Norman Mailer’s Ancient Evenings and
became a full-blown obsession when my friend Ben showed up at my house with
a printed version of the Egyptian Book of the Dead. I remember reading the first
fifteen pages and my brain melting as if I were on a literary acid trip. And of
course, when you read Erich von Däniken’s Chariots of the Gods? as a teenager,
there is no turning back.
It has taken fifteen years of both personal and professional research to write
this book. All I can hope is that I have saved you, the reader, from spending
hours upon hours of your life reading and researching material that might end up
being only 10 percent usable. When you have finished reading this book,
hopefully you will have come up with many more questions and mapped out
new paths to drive toward.
