WADS alternates with the ScandinavianWorkshoponAlgorithmsTheory(SWAT),continuingthetradition of SWAT and WADS starting with SWAT 1988 and WADS 1989. Inresponsetothecallforpapers,141papersweresubmitted.Fromthesesub- missions,the ProgramCommittee selected 59papers for presentationat WADS 2011. In addition, invited lectures were given by the following distinguished re- searchers: Janos Pach, Mihai Pˇatra¸scu, and Robert E. Tarjan.
