Typesetting: Best-Set Typesetter Ltd., Hong Kong 13/3145-5 4 3 2 I 0 - Printed on acid-free paper To Isolde A Blue Butterfly in the Delta Preface This second volume has the same purpose and set-up as the first one. There is a general introductory chapter on the legislation of herbal remedies in different countries, which is followed by twenty- six plant-oriented monographs. Some of these plants have been se- lected because of recent concerns about their adverse reaction po- tential (e. g. Scutellaria species), whereas others have been included because they still have a prominent place in phytotherapy (e. g. Hedera helix). The result is a blend of old and new data, which is precisely what one may expect from a comprehensive coverage.
