Above all, he was a man of great spirit, passion, and inspiration. André Van der Vloedt, second from right, demonstrating his tsetse fly trap near Lake Victoria in Kenya. His colleagues were part of a review team assembled at the International Center of Insect Physiology and Ecology in 1989 to review the insect rearing program and evaluate its role in developing new pest suppression technologies.
