Recently, I examined four specimens of Anisodactylus punctatipennis MDG6L>IO collected
byMr.K>BJG6ontheIslandofOkinawa-hontˆo,SouthwestJapan. Iamgoingtorecorditfor
the firsttime fromthe Island.
Specimens examined. 1(cid:2), 3(cid:3)(cid:3),«Oura, Nago-shi, the Island of Okinawa-hontˆo, Okinawa
Prefecture, 1(cid:2)VII(cid:2)2009,M. K>BJG6 leg.
According to the collector, the site is arable land, so that there is a possibility that the
presenceofthisspeciesinsuchasubtropicalislandisduetoaccidentalintroductionthroughthe
agency ofman.
