Abstract Anewsubspeciesof Leptaulaxmatsumotoiisdescribed fromMyan-
mar under thenameof L matsumoto1kachinenslsssp nov.
Leptaulax matsumotoi wasdescribed fromPhuPan, Laosby KoNet al. (2003).
Recently,thesecondauthor collected thisspecies from Kangfang, Kachin,Myanmar.
AfteracomparisonofthepresentspecimensfromMyanmarwiththetypeseriesofL
matsumoto1 from Laos, it wasrevealedthat thespecimens fromMyanmarareslightly
different fromthetypeseriesinexternalmorphologyandthemalegenitalia. Thus,we
describeanewsubspeciesof L matsumotoi fromMyanmar.
Leptaulax・matsumotoi kachinensisssp nov.
(Figs. l 3,5)
Body length Is l8.1mm± 0.91, 16.3-19.0mm (mean± SD, range; n=7). No
sexual dimorphismisevident.
Thepresentnewsubspeciesisdifferentfromthenominotypica1oneinthefollowing
points:1)thesideofpronotumisdenselypuncturedalmostasawhole,whereasinthe
nominotypica1one,itisimpunctateexceptneartheanteriorcornerandinthescar(Fig.
2);2) thehumerusishairless,whereasinthenominotypica1one,it ishairy;3) inthe
malegenitalia, thedistalmarginofbasalpieceisstronglyincisedat themiddleonthe
ventralside,whereasinthenominotypica1one, itismoderatelyincised (Fig 4).

要 約
近 雅博・阿部 束: クロツヤムシの1種のLeptaula;xmatsumotoiのミャンマーからの1新亜
種. - ミャンマーからLeptaulaxmatsumototの1新亜種を記載し, L matsumotoi kachtnensis
ssp nov.と名付けた.
