Abstract A new subspccies, Dysphaiiia discal iasureolina, is discribe dfrom the Lingga Islands,
east of Sumatra.

D.vsphani adiscal i(sWalke r1,854) from Peninsula Mralaysia, Sumatra and Borneo is readi-
ly distinguish efdrom other congeners by the white dorsa lsurface of the abdomen and the
basa lhalfof the hindwing (Prou 1t9,32: 65, pl ,7: c; Yazaki ,1989: 6, fig .7; Holloway, 1996:
188, pl, 4: 3, fig s12, 106) ,In this species no geographi cvariation has been known, but re-
cently I obtained a series of specimens from the Lingga Island swhich are worth naming as
a new subspecies.
Ilysphani adiscat iasureolina subsp. nov. (Fig s1-2 ,5-6)
Smaller than the nominotypical subspecics. Wingspan: g 58-65 mm, tt ･-61 mm, while in

白なの で他の 同属種か ら区別される．矢崎（1989，月刊むし217：6，fig，7）はシロ シタ トラシャ クと名付
け，［この属の広分布の種としては珍しくひ とつ も亜種や型が命名されてお らず，＿．．．」と書いて いる．
本文で記載した スマ トラ東部の Lingga諸鳥の亜種は原名亜種 よりやや小型で，後翅裏面全体が鮮明
な黄色で，基部近 くが白色で ない のが特微である．原名亜種では多くの場合後翅の 基半が A色だが，
まれには基部近 くだけが白い ．
