Thepectinatedpeglikesetae, the number of palpalsetae and onlypartiallysurrounded (open medially) Ep Ⅳeasily distinguishthisspeciesfromothersinthe group. The disposition of glandularia andoculariainthe newspecies are de scribed andillustratedin detail. Key words Acari, Lebertioidea, Teutoniidae, Teutonia, newspecies, new record.   The water mite family Teutoniidae is currently ⅠP Ⅴ: palpal segment 1 5. represented by two genera, Teutonia Koenike, 1889 Teutonidae Koenike, 1910 and Limnolegeria Motas, 1928 and the former is di Koenike, 1910. Abh. Naturw. Ver. Bremen, 20: 144. Type genus: vided into the subgenera Teutonia and Subteutonia Teutonia Koenike, 1889. Habeeb, 1958. The family is not particularly diverse, Diagnosis. See Cook (1974) and Gerecke (1988). with only seven species named from around the world. Genus Teutonia Koenike, 1889 We have discovered the first representatives of the Koenike, 1889. Zool. Anz. , 12: 104. Typespecies: Teutoniacometes family from China, which represents a new species, (Koch). here named Teutonia ( Subteutonia) piloseta. The distribution of glandularia is illustrated in detail. The Diagnosis. Cook (1974). typespecimens of the new species are deposited in the Subgenus Subteutonia Habeeb, 1958 Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University. Mea Habeeb, 1958. Leaflets AcadianBiol. , 18: 1. ML Ep Ⅰ: median length from that between either A1, or O1and or O2. Four epimer posterior limit of Ⅰb to posteriorend of Ep Ⅰ. Gf 184 in pectinated, the most anterior dorsal peg like seta length, the widest part 101 in width; genitalflaps well longer than the other peg likeseta, but not exceed half developed, with 3 pairs of elongated acetabula. Poste of P Ⅳ; the heavyseta longest, exceed the length of P rior part of acetabula plate with many setae, postgeni Ⅳ, almost reach to the tip of P Ⅴ. P Ⅳwith 10 ven tal sclerites narrow. V at both sides of Gf, V at both tral normal setae and 1small peg likeseta and 9 dorsal 1 2 sides of Ap, V under the posterior edge of Ep Ⅳ. Dis setae. P Ⅴwith 1 ventral seta, claw divided.
