Abstract. A new species ofthe genus Pluinispina Albuquerque (Diptera: Muscidae).
P. similis Costacurta and Carvalho. from Guarapuava. Parana, southern Brazil is de-
scribed, diagnosed and figured. A diagnosis ofthe genus Pliiniispiiui and a key to its two
known species are provided.
