Iespedezella Sekajaeva,1990 from SouthernPrimorye,theRussian FarEast.AlthoughM. Iespedezella has not hithert obeen re:orded other than from the type localit yon,e ef us (Hiran foo)und that it occurs in Matsumoto city, Nagano Prefecture ,central Japan .Examinatio nof speci- mens recently reared by Mr Kogi (Sappor or)evealed that thi' sspecies also occurs in Hoklcaide, In this paper ,Mictvthaum.a lespede7.e iits anew]y recorded from Japan ,with redescription of the male genitali ad,escripti oonf the female gcnitali aan,d brie fbiologic alnotes. Japan (new record): Hoklcaido, Honshu (Nagan oPrefecture) ;Russia (SouthePrrnimorye), Hostplant sL.e,spedeza bicoto r(new record) and L. c)・,rtobotrya (Leguminosae). Biology. The mining habit and cocoon of this species resemble those of M. glycinella, which is a leaf miner of Glycin emax and Pueraria lohata (Leguminos (aKeu)roko ,1964), The early insta rlarva emake a linea rmine on the hostplan tfsrom near the margin to the other side of the leaf crossing the midrib, se that the apical part of the leaf is withered and changes to yellowis hgreen (Fi g2,C). The mine changes abruptly to form a creamy white to pale yellow irregul abrtotc hon the apical part of the leaf (Fi gI.D). There is one larva leaf.The larvae per mine, and one mine per mature make a white spindle-shaped cocoon (abou 5t-6 mm in length) ,which is covered by a thick H-shaped silken roof (abou 1t.0 mm in length) as that of M. glycinel l(aFig .IE). The pupae have a single characteristic projec- tion at the apex of the head (Fig .IF) , The adults appear in Matsumoto City ,Nagano Prefe¢ture from July to August, but in Hayakita-cho, YUbutsu-gun, Hokkaido in mid September .One of us (Hiran oobs)erved that the adults also appear in October in Matsumoto City,Remarks. This species resembles the spring form of M. glycinell aKuroko from Japan in appearance (Seksjae v1a9,90) ,but is readily distinguish efdrom it by it ssomewhat larger win.crspan (7- 9mm in M. Iespedezel l6a.,5-7 mm in M, gl yci.nelta), the forewin gpattern, and the male and female genitali aI.n the wing patter ni,n panicula rwh,en the adult is rest- ing, the dorsal leaden-metalli cstreak forms a semicircular patch in M, tespedeiella ,while it is VLshaped in M. gl.ycinel t(aFi gIsA-B, 2A-B). As describcd above, the larva of this species makeg a 1inea rand blotch mine (Kuroko 1,964, 1982) ,The early insta rlarv amakes a linea rmine on the hostplan tfsrom near the margin of the leaf and across the leaf to the other side, The linea rmine is broad- ened, and becomes a blotc hmine at the apex of thc lcaf (Fig 2.C). Remarks. Oku (2003 )noted the presenc cof this species in lwate Prefectur eH,onshu, Japan .It was also collected in the faunal survey of moths ¢ onductcd by the National Scienc eMuseum in the gardens of the Jmperial Palace ,Tbkye. Thus, the species was confirmed to be widely distribut ethdroughout Honshu, other than Kyushu and Okinawa, Japan .Park (1983 re)corded this species from South Korea. Dal nauka , Vladivostok.(ln Russian). 摘 要 ・ ・ ヤマ ハ ギシロ ハ モ グリ(新称)(ハ モグリガ科)の 日本からの 記録 (安 能浩 広渡俊哉 平野長 ・ 男 黒子 浩) ヤマ ハ ギシロ ハ モ グリMic・rothauma lespedezelはla, Seksjaeva(1990)によっ てロ シア沿海州から記載 された、その後本種の 分布記録は追加されてい なかっ たが,北海道の勇払郡早来町 長野県の安曇村 (現松本市安曇地区)や松本市周辺で本種の分布を確認したの で報告する,本種は,ダイズギンモ ンハ モ グリM .g砂磁 6伽 KUIDkoに近縁であるが,やや大きく,前翅後縁中央の斜条の傾 きもやや強い .♂交尾 器ではvalva や aedieagus の形状などで識別で きる.さらに,原記載で は示されてい な一かっ た ?交尾器で はapophysis anterioris がより細長 くapophysis posteriorがis短い ,腹部第7節背面に 対の硬化部が発 達 しない などの違い がみ られた.また,本種の寄主植物としては,原記載で報告されたヤマ ハ ギの ほ か に,マ ルバ ハ ギ を利用するこ とがわかっ た.本種は,幼虫が葉を横1釿して線状に潜っ た後に葉先1に 不規則な斑状潜孔を作る,蛹の頭頂部に特徴的な突起をもつ ,成虫の ♂交尾器aedeagus の基部は硬化 し平た く拡張するなど,ダイズギンモ ンハ モ グリとの 共通点が見られる.属の模式種に関する情報が乏 しく,今後の検討課題であるが,これ らはMicrothauma ”m の 共有派牛形質の可能性がある と考えられ た.また,ダイズギンモ ンハ モ グリは,ダイズ, クズを寄主植物とし,九州.沖縄から記録があっ たが, 本州(東京:皇居,静岡,大阪,山口)の記録を追加 した.
