JujiroasatoiS.UtNo(2007,p.22, figs. 1-3)isacave-dwellingplatyninecarabidrecently
describedfromalongconglomeratecaveincentralSichuan,SouthwestChina. Arevisit tothe
cavemadeintheearlysummerofthisyearbroughtforthsomeadditionalspecimens,andthough
mostofthemwerefoundexactlyatthesamecollectingsiteasthetypeseries,orat thepavedrest
stationnear theinnermostof thecave, onespecimenwastaken frombeneathastonenearthe
undergroundstreamflowingthroughthepassageat thelowest level.
Wealsosucceededinfindingoutasecondlocalityofthesamespecies. Itwasthelimestone
cavecalledShuilianDong,whichislocatedontheothersideoftheQionglaiShanMountainsand
isabout40kmdistant tothenortheast inabeelinefromLongmenDongCave, thetypelocality
ofJ.sato1. Wewereabletotaketwospecimens,whosecollectingdataareasgivenbelow.

Thetwospecimensrecordedabovewerefoundnearthebottomofthesteeplyslopingcave,
fromunderstoneslyingonwet floor.
