RecentlyIwasabletocollectE bico1orimasaka1M.NIsHIKAwA,1986inthewesternsuburbsofTokyo. Inthisshortpaper,Iam goingtorecordthisspeciesforthefirst timefromKwantoDistrict. Speclmer1e:xamined. 1 bypitfalltrap,InokashiraPark,N35°42' /El39°39',Inokashira , 4-chemo,Mitaka-shi,TokyoProf.,23~26-VI-2007,S.YAMAMoToleg.(inmycoll). Distribution. Japan (Honshu,Shikoku, Kyushu,TsushimaIsis). Notes. Eus11pha bico1or imasaka1M. NIsHIKAwA, 1986can be distinguished fromE. brunnico11is (KRAATz, 1877) by lacking dark medianportion of pronotum. According to personalcommunicationwithDr.Shuhei NoMURA,however,E bicolor lmasakai issosimilarto E brunnlco11isthat itmaybeincludedintherangeof individualvariationofthelatterspecies. Sincethereisnopaperdefinitelyproposingtheirsynonymy, IprefertorecordthisspecimenasE bicolorimasaka1for thetimebeing.
